About

I’m a husband, father and son. I have two wonderful and ever-changing kiddos, so I have great empathy for parents navigating the ups and downs of family life and the work/life balance.

I grew up on the east coast but now live in the Bay Area. I love rock climbing and getting outside. I could sit by the ocean all day.

For two decades I worked as a documentary filmmaker, traveling the world and collaborating with different communities and cultures to elevate stories of people striving to heal our systems and our planet. I witnessed a tremendous amount of suffering, whether it was in refugee camps, prisons, hospitals, or ordinary living rooms. But I also witnessed an unforgettable amount of kindness, resilience and love. Those experiences led me to Buddhist meditation, which I taught in prisons for several years.

As a spiritual teacher once told me, “It’s hard to be a person.” This feels especially true today. Nevertheless, I have come to believe that human beings are inherently good-hearted, and that we all want and need purpose, peace and belonging.

I graduated from Pacifica Graduate Institute with a Masters in Counseling.
